The water tower re-coat project should be bidding in January.
The original scope of work is complete on the project. Bids came in lower than expected, so the city is working to use remaining funds to rehabilitate their water tower. Safety upgrades and a new coating on the tower are included in the preliminary upgrades to the tower.
Underground and asphalt work is complete, including seal coating. Minor items remain on the project, but the project is substantially complete.
The water main has been installed, and all utility work is complete. The contractor is currently working on finishing up pavement and concrete work.
Contractor finished up the water main replacement last fall before freeze, but still needs to place the overlay of asphalt, address any pavement settlement issues, and complete general street repairs this spring. The Contractor is planning to start up when asphalt plants start up for the season.
The Contractor has finished installing the sanitary sewer and water main throughout the city. The base course of asphalt was installed, which brought construction to a close for the fall. The project was bid in June and awarded at a special council meeting in late June. The water main and related items are slated to be finished this fall, with minor pavement work completed in early 2017.
