Welcome Mike Candy to Moore Engineering!
Moore Engineering is excited to introduce Mike Candy as our Senior GIS Group Leader and new addition to the Moore team! Mike’s creativity and relentlessness in the face of a challenge will enhance our ability to service clients around the region.
Mike has a seasoned career in engineering that began in 1999. In his decades-long career, he’s made an impact at a variety of engineering firms, including Pioneer Engineering, 3M, and Xcel Energy. He also started and ran his own company, Precision Ventures, where he worked as a GIS Project Manager and Developer.
Mike’s tenacious creativity fuels the devotion he has for his work. He enjoys utilizing his expertise in geospatial technologies to solve distinctive challenges, explore new opportunities, and create innovative solutions. The assortment of work, from map creation to mobile app development, keeps Mike engaged and on his toes as he applies his expertise in GIS to deliver results.

I enjoy the variety of work from programming, maps, web services, mobile app development and recently AI & ML technologies. I enjoy being challenged with business problems and intergrating GIS across other business units.”
Originally from Wisconsin, Mike has lived all over the place! Today, he works out of Moore’s office in Plymouth, Minnesota – a few miles from Minneapolis.
Outside of work, Mike has an affinity for adrenaline. Camping, mountain biking, and riding ATVs are just a few ways he enjoys spending time with his wife, Elena, and dog, Charley.
