Welcome 2024 Interns – Part 2!

For decades, Moore Engineering’s internship program has given students across the region an opportunity to work alongside engineers, surveyors, and scientists as they prepare for a full-time role. Many of our employees first served as interns before starting their careers.

Today, we’re happy to introduce the second set of our 2024 summer interns! Stay tuned for future blogs that will highlight the others who’ve joined us or check out last week’s blog to see our first set of interns – Welcome 2024 Interns!

James Hajicek

Engineering Tech I | Fergus Falls, MN

Meet James Hajicek, a Finance major at Arizona State University, set to graduate in 2027. From Fergus Falls, MN, James currently resides there while on summer break. James is back for year two of an internship with Moore Engineering. His experiences last year significantly shaped his professional growth. He chose Moore Engineering because of the exceptional team and the invaluable knowledge he gains from them. This summer, James aims to deepen his understanding of engineering by learning about its principles and applications. We’re thrilled to have James on our team!

Jared Baumann

Engineering Tech I | Bismarck, ND

Meet Jared Baumann, a Civil Engineering student at SDSU, set to graduate in Spring 2025. Hailing from Selby, South Dakota, Jared is particularly interested in transportation engineering. After meeting Moore at a career fair in Brookings, he felt that working with them and living in Bismarck would be a great fit. Although initially unsure about his major, encouragement to pursue engineering due to his math skills led him to discover his passion for the field. Jared hopes to deepen his knowledge of civil engineering, especially in transportation. We’re excited to welcome Jared to our team!

Jonah Laundergan

Engineering Tech I | Bismarck, ND

Meet Jonah Laundergan, a driven Civil Engineering student from the University of Mary. He is from Esko, MN, and currently residing in Bismarck, ND, Jonah is passionate about transportation and municipal engineering. This marks his second internship with Moore, drawn by our creative culture and commitment to providing valuable experiences. This summer he hopes to dive deeper into transportation engineering and is eager to expand his expertise in the field. Welcome back, Jonah!

Alayna Holder

Engineering Tech I | West Fargo, ND

Meet Alayna Holder, a Civil Engineering major with a minor in Business Administration at North Dakota State University. Hailing from West Fargo, where she currently resides, Alayna is particularly interested in municipal engineering. After enjoying her internship at Moore Engineering last summer, she chose to return for another summer. Alayna is eager to learn more about the engineering process as a whole and gain a broad spectrum of knowledge. We’re excited to have Alayna back on our team!

Ethan Mann

Engineering Tech I | West Fargo, ND

Meet Ethan Mann, a senior Civil Engineering major at North Dakota State University. Originally from Rapid City, South Dakota, he now lives in Fargo, ND. Ethan has a strong interest in municipal, water, and transportation engineering. He chose to join Moore Engineering after hearing great things from past and present employees. Having done mostly government work, he’s eager to explore the consultant side of the industry. In his spare time, Ethan enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and fishing. This summer, he hopes to try various specialties in engineering to find his perfect fit. We’re excited to have Ethan on our team!

Jack Wolf

Engineering Tech I | West Fargo, ND

Meet Jack Wolf, a Civil Engineering student at North Dakota State University in Fargo, where he was raised. Jack chose to intern at Moore Engineering to gain job experience relevant to his future career plans. His interest in engineering began at a young age, inspired by his father, an industrial engineer. Jack enjoys outdoor activities such as tennis, golf, wakesurfing, and wakeboarding. This summer, he hopes to learn key skills in land surveying and improve his teamwork abilities. We’re excited to have Jack on our team!

Joshua Crowder

Engineering Tech I | Minot, ND

Meet Joshua Crowder, a Civil Engineering student at the University of North Dakota. Originally from Bowdon, ND, he now resides in Powers Lake, ND. Joshua is particularly interested in water and transportation engineering. He chose Moore Engineering after hearing great things about the company and having enjoyed his internship here last summer. Joshua is excited to learn more about project construction and explore new things. In his free time, he enjoys working on vehicles, hobby electronics, farming, video games, and fishing. We’re thrilled to welcome Joshua back to our team!
