Welcome 2023 Interns!

For decades, Moore Engineering’s internship program has given students across the region an opportunity to work alongside brilliant engineers, surveyors, and scientists as they prepare for a full-time role. Many of our employees first served as interns before starting incredible careers.

Today, we’re happy to introduce the first set of our 2023 batch of summer interns! Stay tuned for future publications that will highlight the others who’ve joined us.

Grant Brewer

Construction Engineer Intern

Grant Brewer has joined the Moore Engineering team as a Construction Engineer Intern based in our Bismarck, North Dakota, office. Originally from Mobridge, SD, Grant is pursuing his degree at the South Dakota School of Mines for Civil Engineering in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Grant first interacted with the Moore Engineering team at a career fair, one of our favorite avenues for attracting the best and brightest from schools around the region. After digging into Moore through online research, Grant recognized the inviting work culture we’ve spent decades cultivating.

Welcome Grant Brewer to the Moore Engineering team!

Jonah Laundergan

Construction Engineer Intern

Jonah Laundergan hails from Esko, Minnesota, a neighboring city to Duluth. He crossed the border into North Dakota to attend the University of Mary in Bismarck to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. Jonah will have an easy commute to Moore Engineering’s Bismarck office where he’ll serve as a Construction Engineer Intern.

Jonah was attracted to Moore Engineering’s internship program for the hands-on learning opportunities that will prepare him for the engineering field. He and his fellow interns will make a substantive difference in our business and work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of projects. No mandatory coffee runs here! Though voluntary caffeine deliveries are always appreciated.

Peyton Pauna

Survey Intern

We’re ecstatic to welcome back to Moore Engineering Peyton Pauna! Peyton first joined the team as part of Moore’s 2022 batch of interns. Today, he returns again as a Survey Intern working from our office in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Peyton is from Barnesville, MN, and studies Land Surveying and Civil Tech at NDSCS.

The Pauna family name has been ringing through our halls well before Peyton’s first stint as an intern last summer. Johnathan Pauna, Peyton’s father, has long served as a Project Management Group Lead in Moore’s Civil Sector. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!

Other than his family ties, Peyton was attracted to Moore for the future potential for sustainable and long-lasting growth. Moore Engineering is an ESOP company. As a result, every employee-owner at reaps the benefits of our collective growth.

Welcome back, Peyton!
