Moore Engineering donates $9,000 to Great Plains Food Bank

WEST FARGO, N.D. – Moore Engineering, Inc. and its employee owners donated $9,000 to the Great Plains Food Bank as part of its month-long celebration of employee ownership. The donation will supply 36,000 meals to those in need as the holiday season approaches.

October is “ESOP Month” for employee-owned organizations and Moore, being 100 percent employee owned, holds special events throughout the month. One week is dedicated to a food drive, with employees donating funds and the company matching. This year’s total was more than 40 percent higher than the previous year.

“We like to support the Great Plains Food Bank because they strengthen the entire region through their amazing distribution network,” said Jeffry Volk, Moore’s president and CEO. “The food bank serves the entire state of North Dakota and Clay County in Minnesota, and Moore is fortunate to serve dozens of cities across that same area.”

ESOP stands for Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
