Lisbon, N.D. – Sheyenne River Flood Protection (8/3/17 Update)

Construction is underway for Levee D in Lisbon. The Contractor is currently constructing the earthen levee and pouring the concrete footings for the floodwall to the north of 4th Avenue. As part of the project, the city is rerouting water and sanitary sewer utilities down 4th Avenue and Rose Street to make room for the new levee and floodwall that will be built down Harris Street. The utility work is mostly completed on Rose Street, and is currently being installed on 4th Avenue.

The next phase of the project includes removal of the existing Harris Street and its underground utilities. After these are removed, the contractor will begin building the earthen levee down Harris Street. Once the footings are poured on the north wall, the contractor will move to the south wall to begin pouring footings at that location.

The project is scheduled for completion by November 24th.  Thank you for your patience during construction.
