B.I.G. Event – STEM Education | Women in Engineering

Our Women of Moore Engineering love to support the local communities-especially when they get to share their love of engineering with future generations of strong female STEM Leaders! In September and October Moore Engineering was able to support the Dakota Horizon Girl Scout Troops at their B.I.G. events in both West Fargo and Minot!

The Girl Scout’s B.I.G events are an amazing opportunity for different organizations around the community to come and share hands-on activities with young girls. This allows the girls to experience science and engineering topics in a fun and impactful way.

Our Minot team helped the girls learn about and understand the impact of water towers. One of our engineers even built a model of a water tower that allowed the girls to get a hands-on look at what goes into designing and building one of these structures.

In West Fargo, the team was all about toothpaste-Elephant toothpaste that is! Our engineers enjoyed showing the girls how common household items come together and make an impressive reaction! Our team enjoyed interacting with the girls who attended the event and loved how excited they got about science!

Thank you, Dakota Horizons for allowing us to be a part of this special event! We are passionate about sharing our love of STEM with the community and can’t wait to join again in the future!
