Starting tomorrow, Saturday 9/7, asphalt paving will begin in Phase 5. The Contractor will continue to pave into Monday (9/9) and potentially Tuesday (9/10) to finish Phase 5 and Sheyenne Street paving and complete the Phase 1 overlay. Please obey the temporary No Parking signs to avoid your vehicle being towed. The contractor will attempt to locate the owner of any vehicles parked in the street, but if they cannot be located, they will tow the vehicle to the east ends of one of the side streets (P-51 or B-52). The contractor provided flyers to each house stating the dates the work will occur and other information to be aware of during the work. Residents will still have access during work in Phase 1 but may be limited for short periods when work is occurring directly in front of driveways. Flaggers will be assisting traffic during the work.

The asphalt paving that was planned in Newport Ridge Phase 1 this week will be performed next week.

In Newport Ridge Phase 1, the asphalt milling will occur Wednesday, 7/31 and asphalt paving overlay will occur Thursday and Friday, 8/1 and 8/2. 

The asphalt milling and overlaying will occur at the end of July in Newport Ridge Phase 1 along with the paving of Sheyenne Street. We are working to get more definite dates from the contractor. Signs will be set in boulevards in advance to warn residents of the schedule and impacts. The contractor is to provide seeding, weed control, and watering for the turf reestablishment areas, and that work is to be performed before the end of August. 

Concrete removals and replacements will begin the week of Monday 6/17 and continue for the following 2 weeks in Newport Ridge Phase 1. Concrete removals and replacements include impacts to some driveways. The Contractor will communicate to residents with specific access impacts.

Construction activities have begun in the Newport Ridge – Phase 5 project location (new development) with the closure of Prairie Parkway and site preparation for earthwork and underground utility installation. 

Construction activities are expected to start as soon as possible, pending funding approval.
