New Faces at Moore Engineering!

We are excited to welcome several new employees to the Moore Engineering team. Learn more about them below.

Mallory DiFelice | Graduate Engineer

Mallory joins Moore Engineering as a Graduate Engineer and will be working in our Municipal Department in our Minot, ND office. Mallory recently graduated from Syracuse University with a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering. She lived in New York for most of her life but also spent time living in North Carolina and California! She enjoys working on a team to complete the many different phases of a project that will have an impact on the community.

When she is not working, you can find her running, playing soccer, or enjoying the outdoors.

Sara Umbreit | Funding Administrator

Sara will be assisting in securing project funding, tracking progress post-award, and handling grant reporting and closeouts. Most recently Sara served as a Procedures Coordinator with the City of Saint Paul where she evaluated operational procedures and identified opportunities for improvement to enhance departmental systems and procedures.

Her favorite thing about her career is having the ability to develop and implement practical and sustainable processes and procedures that enhance efficiency and reduce stress. In her spare time, she likes to cook, bake, travel, spend time with family and her bulldog, Rosie! You can find her biking and hiking in the summer months or when she feels creative, she indulges in the unique craft of torch head glass bead making.

Darcy Svaleson | Admin Assistant II

Darcy is our newest Admin Assistant in our West Fargo office. She is originally from Norwich, ND but currently resides in Fargo, ND. In her role, she will help support our employees on various projects and tasks. Her favorite thing about her career is the opportunity for learning and growing. When she is not at work, you can find her spending time with friends, family, enjoying sports, or being outside!

Lauren Weller | Project Funding Engagement Consultant

Lauren joins Moore Engineering as a Project Funding Engagement Consultant! She was born and raised in Colorado and currently lives in Fort Collins. In her role at Moore, she will be supporting funding opportunities by developing Civic engagement strategies. Most recently Lauren served as Assistant Director of International Agriculture at Colorado State University and has experience in strategic multimedia communication and community engagement.

She holds a Master of Science in Agricultural Science with a focus on Engagement and Extension and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Technical Communications. Her achievements include three national marketing awards from the Campus Safety, Health, and Environmental Management Association, and in 2023, BizWest Magazine recognized her as one of Northern Colorado’s 40 Under Forty.

Outside of her career, she spends time in the great outdoors, fishing, hiking, camping, skiing, and spending quality time with her two children and husband.

Amy Schweitzer | Office Administrator

Amy is our new Office Administrator in our Bismarck Office. She will be supporting our Minot and Williston offices as well. Amy will be assisting with project workloads, coordination with Moore Holding Company, office/building management, and other general items. She has previously served as a Director of Hospitality/Events/Capital Campaign at the Cathedral of Holy Spirit, along with the Vice Presidency at their family business, Schweitzer Tree Service.

Amy enjoys spending time with her children, holding the title grandmother, and resides in Bismarck with her husband, Trent. She enjoys gardening, pontoon rides, fishing, backyard parties, and kayak trips!

Dylan Kruzel | Environmental Team Lead

Dylan will support in the day-to-day management of the team and assist with project execution for environmental review and permitting projects. Dylan has experience in conservation management, habitat assessments, species identification, NEPA and MEPA environmental documentation, aquatic resource assessments, and regulatory permitting applications, and mitigation plans for both private and public institutions.

His project experience includes linear transportation corridors, bridge replacements, and raw land development. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bemidji State University with a major in Wildlife Biology and minors in Wetlands Ecology and Biology. He is also a certified wetland professional with the state of Minnesota. His love for Minnesota runs deep as he grew up in Vergas, went to college in Bemidji, and resides in the Twin Cities. He loves spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, biking, running, and spending time with his wife, family, and friends.

Brian Reinarts | Senior Project Manager

Brian joins the Moore Engineering team as a Senior Project Manager. He will be working primarily with private clients and assisting with strengthening our relationships with clients in the region. He joins us with past experience in development and landscape architecture. His favorite thing about his career is creating strong relationships and creating something unique with clients. He loves the outdoors and spends his time hunting, biking, golfing, traveling, attending concerts, and supporting his children’s sporting activities.

David Overbo | Transportation Group Leader

As Transportation Group Leader, Dave will be leading our West Fargo transportation efforts and managing projects for our clients in both North Dakota and Minnesota. He brings several years of experience working as Assistant County Engineering and County Engineer for Clay County Highway Department. Dave graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Civil Engineering. Outside of work you can find him golfing, fishing, and watching his kids play hockey.
