Lisbon, N.D. – Sheyenne River Flood Protection (7/10/17 Update)

The City of Lisbon is currently under construction for Levee D.  This levee consist of 1,350 feet of flood protection on the east side of the river between ND State Highway 27 and Rose Street. The project consists of earthen levees, concrete floodwalls, removable road closure structures, utility replacement, street replacement, and other miscellaneous work.  As part of the project, Harris Street will be removed from Highway 27 to the north to make room for the earthen levee.

Construction started on July 10. The contractor is currently starting on the Rose Street portion of the project and will be replacing water, storm, and sanitary sewer utilities. Due to construction activities, Highway 27 east of the Sheyenne River will need to be closed down for construction activities. Residents will need to use Jackson Ave or Riverside Drive to cross the Sheyenne River.  We apologize for this inconvenience.

The project is scheduled for completion by November 24.
