Why is Arboriculture Important?

The significance of healthy greenery extends far beyond mere aesthetics. Trees play a vital role in promoting the physical and mental well-being of the community. They act as natural air purifiers, mitigating pollution and improving air quality. Additionally, they provide crucial habitat for wildlife, contribute to temperature regulation, and enhance property values. Investing in the health and vitality of our urban tree communities is an investment in the future livability and sustainability of our communities.

Tree Surveys & Inventory

A tree survey is just one of our arborist services. It’s the process of identifying and measuring trees within a project area and creating a detailed map with collected information about each individual tree. Tree surveys are often completed in both natural and urban landscapes and include identifying and recording the genus and species of each tree.

Why is a Tree Survey Needed?

CASE STUDY:
The City of Dilworth

The City of Dilworth faced challenges regarding the health of its urban tree canopy, particularly in light of the looming threat of Emerald Ash Borer. Through collaboration with Moore Engineering, the city undertook a comprehensive ash tree inventory and developed a prioritized tree preservation and removal plan. By leveraging our expertise and conducting thorough assessments, over 600 ash trees were inventoried, and a proactive strategy was implemented to safeguard the city’s tree community.

Conclusion
As stewards of our urban environments, we must nurture and protect the precious green spaces within our cities. Investing in arborist services, conducting tree surveys, and engaging in proactive urban forestry practices can lay the groundwork for a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future. Join us in our endeavor to build and sustain thriving tree communities that enrich the lives of residents and foster vibrant, resilient cities. Together, let’s cultivate a legacy of green for generations to come.
