We are excited to share that Moore Engineering will be actively participating in the upcoming Minnesota Association of Flood Plain Managers Conference, on November 1-3!

The event will bring together community representatives and technical experts from every corner of the region. At the event, we’ll delve into critical discussions, share ideas, and explore innovative solutions to protect our communities and the vital resources we all depend on.

Representing Moore Engineering at the event are Kevin Pederson, Jim Guler, Alexa Ducioame, Chad Engels, Ken Kugler, Josh Hassel, Andrew Smith, and Caleb Bolin. Our team will be doing more than just exchanging business cards! Kevin, Alexa, and Jim will take to the stage to share what we’ve learned after 60+ years of serving the region. Here’s a sneak peek of what you can expect from our speakers.

• Kevin Pederson: Navigate the intricacies of urban flooding mitigation with Kevin as he presents “Casselton Industrial Park Urban Flooding Mitigation.” Gain insights into strategic approaches and solutions that have been implemented to mitigate flooding in industrial parks.
• Alexa Ducioame: Join Alexa, along with Greg and Jun from Houston Engineering, as they illuminate the Fargo-Moorhead Diversion Hydrology & Hydraulics in a speedy yet comprehensive 20-minute lightning talk. You’ll gain key insights into various aspects of the FM Diversion and the modeling involved.
• Jim Guler’s: Jim Guler will discuss the ongoing development of “The Redpath Project.” This presentation will outline the project’s development, its goals and objectives, and the challenges faced in securing funding. Upon completion, the Redpath Impoundment is expected to provide 24,000 acre-feet of temporary flood storage, offering benefits to agricultural lands, infrastructure, and downstream communities.
