Celebrating 65 Years of Moore Engineering

On September 1, 1960, a young visionary named Kip Moore, just 26 years old, opened the doors to Moore Engineering’s first office on Roberts Street in Fargo. Six weeks later, Kip’s brother Marshall Moore joined him. Together, they began laying the foundation for what would become a legacy of community-focused engineering.

From running survey crews to becoming the City Engineer for West Fargo in 1962, Moore Engineering quickly became a trusted name in the region. That same year, the team moved into the old Bank Building on Main. By 1980, they had expanded into a new space on 13th Avenue. In 2008, Moore settled into its current headquarters on 10th Ave E and continued to grow.

A major milestone came in 2004 when Moore Engineering became a 100% employee-owned company. This reinforced its commitment to empowering its people and investing in the future.

Today, Moore Engineering is proud to employ over 200 professionals across 11 offices in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Colorado. The company is led by President Kevin Bucholz, and our mission remains at the heart of everything we do: Improving Lives by Building Strong Communities.

As we celebrate 65 years of innovation, service, and growth, we invite you to take a walk down memory lane with us. Enjoy these snapshots from our journey, moments that shaped who we are and where we’re headed.

Here’s to the next 65 years of engineering excellence.
