New Faces at Moore Engineering

We are excited to welcome new employees to the Moore Engineering team. Learn more about them below.

Jonah Laundergan | Graduate Engineer

Welcome Jonah Laundergan as a Graduate Engineer in our Transportation department at Moore Engineering! Originally from Esko, Minnesota, Jonah now resides in Bismarck and brings a strong interest in transportation and municipal engineering to the team.

Jonah previously interned twice with Moore, where he enjoyed the creative culture and meaningful experiences. He’s eager to deepen his expertise in transportation engineering and continue growing his technical skills. His curiosity and enthusiasm make him a valuable addition to the team.

He is located in our Bismarck office.

Kent Torve | Senior Project Manager

Welcome Kent Torve as a Senior Project Manager at Moore Engineering. With over 30 years of civil engineering experience, Kent has worked extensively in water resources, municipal infrastructure, wastewater systems, and environmental engineering. He’s also served as a small-town mayor. Originally from Rapid City, South Dakota, Kent spent 28 years at Wenck Associates and four years at a large international firm.

He began college at San Diego State, then after a few years in minor league baseball with the Chicago White Sox system he moved back home and finished at South Dakota Tech.

He is located in our Plymouth office.

Brittany Scott | Project Administrator II

Welcome Brittany Scott as a Project Administrator II at Moore Engineering. Before moving to Minnesota in 2021, she lived in Metairie, Louisiana and worked as a Project Controller at Worley Engineering. Brittany brings strengths in organization, efficiency, and attention to detail, along with valuable knowledge and connections built throughout her career. She’s excited to join Moore for the opportunity to grow, share her skills, and build strong relationships.

Outside of work, Brittany enjoys morning sun, riding her e-bike, going to the gym, cooking, and caring for her plants and two cats.

She is located in our Plymouth office.

Emily Berg | Project Administrator II

Welcome Emily Berg as a Project Administrator II at Moore Engineering. A lifelong North Dakotan, Emily brings experience in grants management and public service, having worked with the International Republican Institute, the City of Minot, and the Souris Basin Planning Council. She’s known for her exceptional organizational skills and is excited to support meaningful infrastructure work at Moore. Emily is passionate about helping teams succeed by clearing paths financially, administratively, and strategically so others can do impactful work.

She is located in our Minot office.

Hannah LeClaire | Professional Engineer II

Welcome Hannah LeClaire as a Professional Engineer II at Moore Engineering. Originally from New Hope, Minnesota, Hannah moved to Fargo in 2015 for her first role at Houston Engineering, where she worked for seven years before joining Young Environmental Consulting Group in 2022. She’s passionate about creating sustainable solutions that benefit both people and the environment and is proud of her ability to connect with and mentor younger staff. Outside of work, Hannah enjoys running, biking, hiking, skiing, and binge watching Netflix. She’s all about balance.

She is located in our West Fargo office.

Sheila McAtee | Project Engineer

Welcome Sheila McAtee as a Project Engineer at Moore Engineering! Sheila describes herself as optimistic and enthusiastic, bringing a positive energy to her work. She has previously lived in San Diego, California; Moscow, Idaho; and Billings, Montana.

She is located in our Lakewood office.

Michael Welch | Graduate Engineer

Welcome Michael Welch as a Graduate Engineer at Moore Engineering! Born and raised in Fargo, Michael has lived there his whole life and brings a strong local perspective to his work. He previously worked as a research assistant at NDSU and part time at Caribou during college.

Michael is passionate about learning new software and watching models come to life, which is his favorite part of engineering. Described as fun, he brings a lighthearted energy to the team. Outside of work, he enjoys collecting CDs and vinyl, golfing, fishing, and spending time with friends.

He is located in our West Fargo office.

Ariel Jacobson | Graduate Engineer

Welcome Ariel Jacobson as a Graduate Engineer at Moore Engineering Inc. With prior experience at Apex Engineering in Bismarck and time spent in Northern Minnesota and Madison, Wisconsin, Ariel brings a thoughtful approach to her work. She’s driven by a passion for helping others through engineering and values understanding the purpose behind every task, inspired by a mentor’s perseverance and vision.

Before pursuing engineering, Ariel considered a career in opera; music remains her favorite pastime. She’s excited to be part of a team that encourages one another in striving toward a shared vision.

She is located in our Bismarck office.
