New Public Outreach and Engagement Service

Actively engaging the public from project inception to completion offers numerous benefits, such as better-informed decisions, expedited project timelines, creative problem solving, and enhanced client satisfaction. These advantages are why many funding programs require robust outreach and community buy-in.

At Moore Engineering, Inc., we are excited to announce the launch of our specialized public outreach and community engagement services within our Funding Services Group. These services are designed to implement creative and effective public outreach strategies for our clients and the various stakeholder groups they serve across the region. As digital communication and creative outreach tools have become more complex, many of our clients face staffing and capacity limitations in implementing effective engagement strategies. Recognizing the importance of community outreach and engagement in fostering trust, transparency, and collaboration, we have expanded our team to include a dedicated engagement specialist. With over a decade of experience, our specialist brings a fresh perspective and expertise in organizing and executing outreach events and communication methods, ensuring all stakeholders’ voices are heard and considered.

Our newly developed engagement and outreach approach is flexible to meet specific project needs and requirements, though it typically includes the following steps:

  • Stakeholder Identification. Identifying relevant stakeholders to understand their specific interests and values.
  • Establish Outreach and Feedback Tools. Identifying traditional and digital tools to solicit information and gather feedback on various aspects of the project.
  • Clear and Open Engagement. Using plain language and initiating contact with identified stakeholders to gather input and address concerns.
  • Early and Ongoing Communication. Establishing regular updates using multimedia tools to keep stakeholders informed and involved throughout the project.
  • Integration of Feedback. Analyzing and incorporating community feedback into project plans to ensure the outcomes align with unique public needs and expectations.

This collaborative approach integrates elements of the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) public participation process and ensures that projects meet the unique needs and concerns of the communities we serve.
