12th Avenue North closures begin today in West Fargo

Two sections of 12^th Avenue North in West Fargo closed today, Monday, April 4, for construction.

The first section runs from east of County Road 19 (9^th Street Northwest) to west of County Road 17. Construction is scheduled to be completed and the road reopened August 2016.

The second section runs from east of 9^th Street Northeast to 45^th Street North. Construction is scheduled to be completed and the road reopened in September 2016.

Detours will route traffic around the construction areas during the closures. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to County Road 19 (9^th Street Northwest) to Main Avenue to Center Street to 7^th Avenue Northeast to 45^th Street North. Westbound traffic will be detoured along the same route in the opposite direction. See attached map for more information.

The project will convert the affected sections of 12^th Avenue North from a two-lane rural road to a three-lane urban roadway.
