Senior Proposal Specialist – West Fargo, N.D. or Plymouth, Minn.

The Senior Proposal Specialist will lead the development of high quality proposal, qualifications submittals, and presentations to meet requirements and deadlines of responses to RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for working with management and technical teams to shape the effort, analyze requirements, and oversee/manage the process throughout the proposal lifecycle
  • Facilitate multi-disciplined groups in brainstorming and developing solutions to key aspects of the proposal providing tactical advice and guidance with the ability to drive strategy and solutions that result in winning submissions
  • Coordinates and conducts proposal kick-off meetings with project managers, principals, and other staff to strategize and prepare winning proposals/presentations
  • Develops and manage proposal schedules
  • Maintains the proposal files and ensures all content and documents are appropriately uploaded and stored
  • Logs and maintains a proposal tracking system and provides monthly reporting
  • Coordinates and maintains current proposal content such as resumes, project descriptions, photos, templates, style guides and other content necessary for completion of proposals
  • Provide training as necessary to team members on the proposal process, review process, and/or writing process and best practices
  • Participates in shortlist presentation rehearsals, as needed, to provide presentation coaching and strategies
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, English, Communications, or an industry-related field
  • A minimum of five years of recent relevant experience, including preparation of qualifications statements/proposals and expressions of interest in response to RFPs/RFQs
  • A thorough understanding of the proposal development process and knowledge of standard forms
  • Ability to multitask, handle multiple assignments, and work within tight deadlines
  • Superb organization skills and ability to work alone and with a team
  • Excellent grammar, writing, proofreading, and oral/communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud desktop publishing applications (Acrobat Pro DC, InDesign CC, Photoshop CC) preferred
  • Technical writing experience a plus
  • Knowledge of engineering and/or professional services a plus
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work overtime if necessary

This position can be based in our West Fargo, ND or Plymouth, Minn. office.
