| 13th Avenue West Street Improvements - City of West Fargo | |
|
The entire project consisted of replacing the existing section of 13th Avenue between Sheyenne Street and Drain 21. The existing rural roadway section was replaced with an urbanized street with decorative street lights, trees, bushes, and medians all designed to slow traffic and provide a more aesthetically pleasing atmosphere while maintaining traffic flow. It also included the addition of multi-use paths on both sides of the street, and the removal and replacement with culverts of two bridges, one over the Sheyenne River and one over Drain 21.

| Eagle Run/Rendevous Park Interconnected Storm Water Retention System - City of West Fargo | |
|
The project consisted of the construction of two wet retention ponds and tying into an existing dry retention area and storm lift station. The lakes are interconnected through a gravity system with provisions for pumping to completely drain the ponds for dredging/maintenance. This project was done to provide for storm water retention, along with other amenities such as sand beaches and water fountains.

| Rendevous Park - City of West Fargo | |

| The entire project encompassed the base construction of a large park including roadways, parking lots, large-scale landscaping including a pond and waterfall, and a large system of concrete multi-use paths. The goal of the project was to create a park area that was inviting and visually pleasing, while remaining functional. The project was also part of a larger plan, which interconnected approximately a half section of residential development with user-friendly multi-use paths with Rendevous Park the primary destination point.

| Water Main Replacement - Harvey, ND | |
|
| The project involved design and construction administration to replace the City of Harvey's failing cast iron water distribution system. The existing water mains were deteriorating due to an electrolysis condition caused by the soil, and undersized water mains causing significant flow problems during high usage times. Alternative replacement options were bid, with pipe bursting coming in 18% lower than the conventional open trench method. Construction went smoothly with the pipe bursting option, minimizing disturbance for the citizens of Harvey. The project was funded through USDA Rural Development Water and Waste Grant and Loan program, ND Department of Health State Revolving Loan Program, and City share.

| Maple River Dam | |
|
| The project consisted of construction of an earthen dam along the Maple River in southwest Cass County to reduce the depth and duration of future flooding along the Maple, Sheyenne, Rush, and Red Rivers in eastern North Dakota. The main features of the project include a 75' high earthen embankment approximately 2500 feet long, a principle spillway consisting of a 66” concrete pipe and outlet structure, a 120 foot wide baffled concrete spillway, and a 1200 foot wide emergency earthen spillway. Construction of the project began in late 2004 and was substantially complete in the fall of 2006. The construction of the earthen dam and associated features provides flood protection for downstream areas by temporarily impounding up to 60,000 acre-feet of water and reducing peak river stages along the Maple River, Sheyenne River, Rush River, and Red River in Cass County.

| West Fargo Water Tower | |

| The project consisted of a composite elevated tank, including installing a pile foundation, concrete pedestal, and 1,500,000 gallon welded steel tank. A total of 120 steel piles were driven into the ground, followed by the concrete pedestal installation. The pedestal was poured one ring at a time, each 4' in height. The composite tank was raised onto the pedestal and painted before being filled with water. This project will provide water storage for the steadily growing southern portion of the City. When water demand is low the tower is filled and used for storage, and when water demand is high the tower serves to assist the City's wells in supplying water.
