Moore in the community

Helping to build stronger, healthier communities

Moore celebrated the opening of our Minot office with a unique presentation of support to the community. Roger Fenstad, Chairman of Moore's Board of Directors, presented Megan Laudenschlager, Finance Director of Minot Area Community Foundation, with a gift of $16,000 to the Minot Area Recovery Fund. These funds were raised by the employees of Moore at the annual holiday party with an equal match from the company. Due to the generosity of Moore's employees, the Community Foundation is able to build a stronger, healthier community today, and in the future.

Building a better quality of life

From designing water systems to building bridges to constructing streets and runways, Moore has a long history of working side by side with local, state and federal leaders to complete projects that provide a better quality of life. MEI projects are defined not as "big" or "small" but by how much impact we have in making something "better." In fact, our employees say the satisfaction of knowing they have had a part in work that has a meaningful impact on the lives of residents across the region is one of the rewards of working for Moore.

Impacting communities where we work

Moore began serving as city engineer for Casselton, N.D., in 1962 and for West Fargo, N.D., in 1963 and currently serves in that capacity for more than 70 North Dakota and Minnesota communities. Community involvement has been a priority since we opened our doors for business in 1960—not only in the communities where we serve as city engineer, but everywhere we do business.

A culture of giving

Moore supports many local organizations through financial contributions, in-kind donations and volunteerism. Moore employees hold leadership positions in local, state, and professional organizations. They volunteer, delivering meals on Wheels, ringing Salvation Army bells, and raising money for charity.

Moore Engineering is a corporate sponsor for United Way Day of Caring and the firm received the Best Practices Pacesetter Award in 2010. The company and its employees also provide multiple engineering scholarships. This commitment to service contributed to the company's selection as the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Choice award winner.
